Recently my extended family have visited Pune, so we planned for a one day trip to lonavala
Pune-Lonavala: It is around 55 kms from Pune which would take around 1-1.5 hours by car
Bushi Dam:
The dam is a must watch, you can easily trek to the top most stair(end point till where public is allowed to visit) in about 15-20 minutes. There are two ways to reach at the top, the first one will have stairs and proper path till the top. The second way goes through the water and little difficult to climb.
It is great site for selfie's and people enjoy the little waves from the dam. Water is little cold and its flow is very nominal. One can easily stand and relax on the stairs. There were police officials to ensure public safety. There were many small shops offering- tea, Maggi, pakodas and other refreshments.
Lion's Point:
Just 5 kms ahead of Bushi, you will have wonderful scenery spot known as Lion's Point. The view is amazing, you can see wonderful cliffs, waterfall and idle sight for paragliding. This place is heaven for photography.
Kinara Village:
While returning to pune, we had dinner at Kinara. This place offers wide variety of food. It is built in very large area(much like chokhi Dhani), separate food court for pure vegetarian. It has playing area for kids, fortune teller, live music and off course the yummy rabdri jalebi
